The distribution of nucleolus organizer regions in chromosomes of eleven primates were investigated by the silver-staining technique.Tupaia belangeri chinensis NORs were located on chromosomes 28 ph,29 ph and 30 ph.The NORs of five Macaca species (M.assamensis,M.nemestrina,M.speciosa,M.mulatta and M.cyclopis) were located on chromosomes 20 ph.In the Rhinopithecus roxellanae and Presbytis francoisi,P.phayei and Hylobates lar, their NORs were located on chromosomes 21 ph.The gibbon,Hylobates concolors on chromosomes 23 ph and 24 ph.NORs in all species studied were confined to different kinds of the marker chromosomes with secondary constriction. Finally, nucleolus organizer regions in chromosomes of these genera and species have been compared with each other.By comparison we can see that the species with the same or similar karyotype have the identical Ag-NORs and their evolutionary relationship are closer.
The present paper has reported the observations on the life history and habits of Misumenopo tricuspidatus in Hubei Province in detail.Misumenops tricuspidafus is an important enemy of cotton pests such as cotton aphis, cotton boll worms and small catton tooper.Four opulation peaks of this spider occur in the cotton fields in Hubie Province each year and the largest of these four peaks is the one appeared in September. This shows its connection with the growing conditions of cotton.About insecticides, baumenfon is the most serious one in killing spiders and chlodimeform and carbaryl are not so powerful.
Having revised literatures concerned and examined the Danios from China, the author inclines to synonimize Danioides Chu and Daniops Smith with Danio Hamilton. No matter how many subgeneric name have been proposed since Weber et Beaufort (1916),the limitations of them are getting vague with the discovery of intermediate forms. So the subdivision of the genus Danio needs to be further considered and leaves unacceptable.Six species of the genus Danio have been recognized from China, among them two species are considered to be new to science.
In the present paper description of a new species of Musk-deer (Subfamily Muschinae) is given. All the specimens are deposited in the Kunming Institute of Zoology,Academia Sinica.
By means of SDS (sodium dodecyl sulfate)-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis it was demonstrated that the fibrinolytic enzyme of Agkistrodon halys (Pallas) venom not only degrades the α chain but also degrades the β chain of human fibrinogen.A series of the fragments with different molecular weights,X′,Y′,D′,E′,could be observed electrophoretically on acid polyacrylamide gels after degradjng fibrinogen. The mechanism of the hydrolytic action of human fibrinogen by the fibrinolytic enzyme has been discussed.
The present report deals with six new species of chigger mites parasitic on rodents from Yunnan Province,China. The type specimens are deposited in the Control and Research Institute of Epidemic Diseases of Yunnan Province.
This paper reports three new species of the Family Tenuipalpidae collected from China. All the specimens are deposited in the Shanghai College of Agriculture.
In the genus Eurytetranychus Oudemans,1931,two species have been recorded from China by E.ulmi Wang,1977,and E.recki Bagdasarian,1948.In this paper, two new species of the genus Eurytetranychus collected on Ulmus spp.are described. The type specimens are deposited in the Shanghai college of Agriculture.
