Abstract
Acid α-naphthyl acetate esterase (ANAE) positive lymphocytes in peripheral blood smears and lymphocyte suspension cytocentrifuge preparations of Macaca mulatta were 82.9±5.9% and 84.6±4.2%,respectively.Of M.assamensis,M.nemestrina and W.speciosa also were about 85%.By double marking with ANAE and EAET (AET-treated sheep red blood cells) or ZYC (zymosan-yeastcomplement complex) and by triple marking with them simultaneously,ANAE positive cells in T,B and null cells of M.mulatta were 95.5±1.8%,52.8±3.0% and 78.7±9.2%,respectively.The results indi that ANAE staining was not a specific method for marking of T cell in these monkeys.
